“Bi-2” believe that their deportation to Israel was canceled after the visit of the Russian consul

The rock group “Bi-2”, detained in Thailand, confirmed that yesterday, January 29, a decision was made to deport its members to Israel. According to the musicians, this decision was canceled after today’s visit by representatives of the Russian Consulate. The group members refused to communicate with the Russian consul.

“Today, after a visit by high-ranking diplomats from the Russian consulate, representatives of the group were informed that the decision to deport to Israel has been canceled… Members of the group continue to be held in a migration center in a common cell for 80 people,” the group said in a message on its Telegram account.

The head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, Ilya Ilyin, confirmed to reporters that five members of the group with Russian citizenship, who are in a temporary detention center in Bangkok, refused to communicate with the consul.

In Thailand, the group held two concerts: January 22 in Pattaya, January 24 in Phuket. After the concert in Phuket, members of “Bi-2” were detained. According to the musicians, the police imputes They are violating the rules of the concert. Israeli portal Ynet reportedthat four members of “Bi-2”, including lead singer Lyova (Egor Bortnik; recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), will be deported to Israel.
