Belarus will oblige Yandex Taxi to place servers on the territory of the republic

Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Alexey Lyakhnovich said on the state television channel Belarus 1 that Yandex Taxi will be required to place servers on the territory of the republic.
“Now they probably found out (representatives of Yandex. Taxi.— “Kommersant”) that the relevant documents are being prepared, they began to slowly transfer servers and create legal entities on the territory of the Republic of Belarus,” the minister said (quoted by Interfax).
Mr. Lyakhnovich explained that the requirement arose taking into account the planned changes in the legislation of Belarus. He explained that the law will introduce the concepts of “road transport dispatcher” and “taxi dispatcher”, which can, among other things, use information resources in their activities. According to Mr. Lyakhnovich, the dispatcher also has responsibility in accordance with the law on road transport, road transportation and the rules for the transportation of passengers.
