The management of VimpelCom (Beeline brand) does not plan to change its brand after the company’s buyout from the Veon holding. Alexander Torbakhov, General Director of VimpelCom, announced this.
“Yes, of course, the most valuable thing we have is clients, employees and a brand,” Mr. Torbakhov told reporters (quoted by TASS).
In early November, Veon announced a tender for the sale of VimpelCom. At the end of the month, the management of the Russian company signed buyout agreement. Veon will receive 130 billion rubles from the sale. The deal is expected to close by June 2023. According to Kommersant, VimpelCom will buy back Veon bonds for $2.1 billion from holders.
