Balance: the route to Crimea through new regions will cost 350-400 billion rubles

The cost of the highway from the Crimean city of Dzhankoy to Rostov-on-Don is preliminary estimated at about 400 billion rubles, Acting Governor of the Kherson Region Vladimir Saldo told TASS. The route will pass through the regions annexed to Russia in September 2022.
Mr. Saldo clarified that the financial and economic justification is not yet ready, so the cost estimate is approximate. The route itself will be about 600 km long. “Tavrida, with its 250-kilometer length, cost the federal budget, roughly speaking, 150 billion rubles. So, I think, 350-400 billion rubles. Let’s get it right,” he says.
The fact that a new highway will be built from the Crimea to the mainland of Russia, informed press service of the administration of the Kherson region in December 2022. The road will pass from Dzhankoy through Chongar, Genichesk, Melitopol, Mariupol and Berdyansk to Rostov-on-Don. Last week Vladimir Saldo saidthat the development of the route project has started. How long it will take, he did not specify.
Note that, as Kommersant discovered, the White House refused to build a number of highways until 2027.
