The founder of the Wildberries marketplace, Tatyana Bakalchuk, announced that the company intends to rebrand. According to her, Wildberries will not change the name to Berries.
“We are trying to smoothly get into this story, we want to “redraw” the logo. We feel that the brand is somewhat outdated, we want it to be read as friendly and modern,” Ms. Bakalchuk told reporters (quoted from “RIA News”).
According to her, Wildberries is still considering various options for rebranding, the final version has not yet been approved. Tatyana Bakalchuk added that the company will also strive to talk more about its social significance.
August 15, 2022 Wildberries replaced the name to “Berries” as part of a marketing campaign. Tatyana Bakalchuk said that the marketplace customers liked this idea. In the same month the company filed application for registration of the trademark “Yagodki”. Tatyana Bakalchuk also did not rule out renaming the marketplace to WB.
