AvtoVAZ to employ 1,000 employees of a fire-damaged door factory in Togliatti

“AvtoVAZ» is ready to employ up to 1,000 employees of the Ferroni entrance door plant that was damaged by the fire. About it informs “Interfax” with reference to the government of the Samara region.

According to Governor Dmitry Azarov, he agreed with the president of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, that the automaker would invite 1,000 people to work in various areas of activity. About 1200 more people “Ferroni” plans to attract to eliminate the consequences of the fire, as well as to work at other sites of the company. They may be employed temporarily. The remaining 400 workers will be offered other vacancies.

Regional authorities promise to provide support to the affected enterprise – tax deferrals, obtaining a soft loan for the purchase of new equipment. In return, the plant management must restore production and save jobs.

In the painting shop of the Ferroni Togliatti enterprise, a fire broke out on the evening of May 13. As a result of the fire, the company’s property was damaged on an area of ​​20,000 square meters. m. According to this fact, it was excited criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules in the course of work, which negligently entailed the infliction of large damage). Nobody was hurt in the fire. The company has yet to assess the damage.

Ferroni Engineering General Director Oleg Knyazkov said that the company plans to restore the volume of the enterprise by the end of the year. According to him, “Ferroni” will continue to service the issues of bonds in circulation, timely pay coupon income, the publication adds.
