AvtoVAZ announced plans to resume production of Lada Largus in 2023

AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov said that the company plans to resume production of Lada Largus at a plant in Togliatti in 2023. He stated this at the Russian Industrialist forum-exhibition in St. Petersburg, transmit “RIA News”.
“The plans for next year include the resumption of production of Largus. And not only in the classic version, complete with an internal combustion engine, but also with an electric power plant. We presented this project in Izhevsk, we already have the first prototypes, next year we confirm the possibility of producing the first experimental batch,” Sokolov said.
He also noted that the electric Largus is the only localized electric car in Russia. According to him, the rest of the electrical projects are related to SKD. On plans to resume production of Lada Largus Sokolov in late 2022 – early 2023 Sokolov spoke back in early September.
In July, the AvtoVAZ press service reportedthat the company will release 1800 Lada Largus from the components accumulated in warehouses. In May, production at the AvtoVAZ plants was suspended due to a shortage of components. The company then switched to a four-day work week. At the beginning of June “AvtoVAZ” resumed the assembly of passenger cars and launched the Lada Granta Classic 2022 model with imported parts.
