Avtodor announced a tender for the construction of two sections of the Kazan-Yekaterinburg highway

The Avtodor State Company announced tenders for the construction of two sections of the Kazan-Yekaterinburg high-speed highway on the Dyurtyuli (Republic of Bashkortostan)-Achit (Sverdlovsk Region) section. A section in the Perm Territory with a length of 92 km has been assessed in 72.9 billion rubles.43 km in the Sverdlovsk region are estimated at 41 billion rubles. The relevant tenders were posted on the public procurement website the day before.

In accordance with the posted documentation, Avtodor is looking for contractors with the involvement of subcontractors from among small and medium-sized businesses for the execution of the contract. The total length of the two stages is about 135 km. It is assumed that the expressway will be four-lane of permanent asphalt concrete, the estimated speed is 120 km/h.

On the 92-kilometer section in the Kama region, it is planned to build 2 traffic interchanges, 7 bridges, 13 overpasses and 10 ecoducts (tunnels for the safe passage of animals). On the site in the Sverdlovsk region, it is planned to build 2 transport interchanges and 12 artificial structures.

In accordance with the tender documents, construction is expected to be completed no later than July 2025. Applications are accepted until December 2. The results are scheduled to be summed up on December 13.

The Kazan-Yekaterinburg high-speed highway will become part of the M12 federal highway Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod-Kazan-Yekaterinburg. Its length will be about 1.6 thousand km, of which 275 km is the section from Kazan to Yekaterinburg. It is planned that by road it will be possible to drive from Moscow to Kazan by car in 6 hours and 30 minutes, from Moscow to Yekaterinburg in 17 hours and 30 minutes. Toll sections will be 288 km of the new highway and the reconstructed Nizhnekamsk bypass. The cost will be from 2.5 rubles. up to 4 rubles for 1 km for cars, for trucks – four times more expensive.

Recall that 260 billion rubles were allocated for the construction of the highway from Dyurtyuli to Achita. On the allocation of additional 28 billion rubles. in July ordered Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. Despite the completion date announced in the tenders in July 2025, the highway is expected to be commissioned in 2024 – a corresponding instruction to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin gave Russian President Vladimir Putin.
