The demand for IT specialists grew 3.7 times in August compared to the same period in 2022. Salary expectations of workers in the sector also increased. This was announced by the Managing Director of the Avito Rabota platform Artem Kumpel.
According to him, the average offered salary in the IT industry has grown to 60,503 rubles. per month, up 23% from last August. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.
Demand for personal computer (PC) operators increased 3.2 times over the year. Salary offers for such employees increased to 49,792 rubles. per month, which is 50% more than in the previous similar period. The demand for specialists in computer technology has grown 1.9 times, their salary – by 20% to 72,768 rubles. The demand for programmers increased by 1.3 times, the proposed salaries – by 15%, to 73,029 rubles.
“Judging by the demanded vacancies, today employers in the IT industry are interested in both specialists with higher education and those with secondary education. According to a recent survey, which involved more than 10,000 working Russians, 67% of representatives of the IT sector called getting a secondary vocational education in their field promising,” said Artem Kumpel “RIA News”.
Head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev appreciated shortage of personnel in the IT industry of 500-700 thousand people. In total, almost 740 thousand people work in the industry.
