Avito launched the function of returning goods from private sellers

Online Ads Platform «Avito”in test mode, launched the function of returning goods from private sellers, previously it was available only when buying from stores. This was reported in the press service of the company.

Please note that items can be returned within 14 days of receipt. At the same time, to process a return, you must use the services of Avito’s logistics partners, including Russian Post, SDEK, Boxberry and etc.

The company emphasized that the standard scheme for checking goods, in which the buyer has 15 minutes to decide whether the item suits him, remains in force. In this case, the buyer can refuse the goods on the spot, and the money for the goods and delivery will not be debited.

Now the “return of goods” function can be connected by 1 million sellers who actively use the Avito service. Such users have a green “14 days to return” icon. If the seller decides to allow the possibility of a return, this function automatically applies to all products to which Avito Delivery is connected. It is clarified that for some ads, the seller will be able to disable the return option on their own.

To process a return, the buyer will need to fill out an online form in which it is necessary to indicate the reason for the return and attach photos of the product. Only items without new signs of wear are accepted for return. If the item turned out to be defective, the seller undertakes to return the money for it in any case – even if the item has signs of use. If the item was not defective, but new traces of wear appeared on it, the seller will be able to reject such an application, a return specialist will deal with the problem.

If the buyer decides to return the goods, he will be able to do this only with the help of the Russian Post. At the same time, until the beginning of July, there will be a promo period in which return shipping services will be free.
