The American developer of computer-aided design systems for construction, engineering and industrial design, Autodesk, has banned the use of its products by companies in Russia since March 20. “You must not allow any of your Russian authorized subsidiaries or third parties that are based in Russia or are Russian legal entities to use our products and services,” Autodesk said in the letter.
Autodesk announced the suspension of operations in Russia in March 2022 due to a Russian special operation in Ukraine. As part of the 12th package of sanctions against Russia, adopted on December 19, 2023, the European Union limited supply of software for business analytics. In this regard, from March 20, access to their cloud services for Russian companies closed Microsoft.
