The average cost of a spa holiday in Russia in May and summer increased by 12-13% compared to last year, informed vice-president of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Sergey Romashkin in a comment to Interfax.
“Generally speaking, sankur prices have risen by 12-13% compared to last year,” he said.
At the same time, the resorts of the Caucasian Mineralnye Vody remain the most popular in this segment, the cost of which, against the backdrop of high demand, is twice as expensive as in other directions. Treatment in Kislovodsk, including transport, will cost 70,000 rubles, Romashkin noted.
Earlier in March, President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) Ilya Umansky predicted an increase in the tourist flow in Russia up to 10% compared to last year, abroad – by 25-30%. According to him, the dynamics of the tourist flow in Russia in 2023 will be determined by the availability of transportation and the availability of hotel infrastructure, the volume of which, according to Umansky, is growing every year.
Former Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed government to exempt tour operators for domestic and inbound tourism from paying VAT. Tour operators will be exempted from paying the tax for the period from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2027. In addition, Putin instructed to allocate 5.1 billion rubles. for the creation of infrastructure for the development of tourism in specially protected natural areas.
