Artem Markin, conductor and author of the “Musical Expedition”, has died

The artist was only 54 years old

The chief conductor of the Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, Artem Markin, has passed away. The artist was three months short of his 55th birthday, regional governor Alexander Avdeev announced this in his Telegram channel.

Artyom Markin shared the sad news in his Telegram: today the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, chief conductor of the Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra Artyom Markin passed away.

The governor of the region said that the artist worked until the last, despite a serious illness, and he was only three months short of his 55th birthday. However, it would be wrong to say that the conductor died, because he will continue to live in the immortal art that his students continue to give: “Artyom Markin is an example of a creator who completely and completely devoted himself to serving art.”

At the end of the twentieth century, the artist created and headed the Vladimir Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, thanks to which he became the youngest chief conductor and organizer of his own ensemble in new Russia. In addition, he was one of the authors of the travel festival called “Musical Expedition,” the essence of which is to present world classics to the audience “in historical settings.” Recently, Artem Markin’s idea has become so popular with the public that it has traveled to folk art centers and factory workshops, noble estates and merchant chambers, as well as ancient cities and remote settlements.
