[ad_1]
Apple’s export share in the second quarter (March-April) 2023 was 49%, while the share Samsung amounted to 45%. In September, the Taiwanese corporation Foxconn began assembling the new iPhone 15 in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. In other Indian regions, Apple also produces past models, including the iPhone 14 and others.
In April media wrotethat Apple tripled the production of its iPhone smartphones in India over the year – to more than $7 billion. It was noted that the share of production at Indian enterprises in 2021 was only 1%, and at the end of 2022-2023 – already 7%.
Apple is increasing production in India to reduce dependence on China – this may be due to deteriorating relations between Washington and Beijing. In addition, the American corporation is planning expansion in Thailand.
