Apple extended office lease in Moscow until January 2027 and reduced its area

The American company Apple has reduced the area of the rented office in Moscow in Romanov lane in the Romanov Dvor business center from 4,684.38 sq. m to 424.23 sq. m and extended the lease until January 2027, follows from explanations to the balance sheet and the report on financial results on the state information resource of accounting (financial) statements.
The document also notes that the suspension of most of Apple’s commercial activities in Russia “had a material negative impact on the financial results” of the company. However, Apple Rus expects to be able to continue to fulfill its obligations, the explanation emphasizes.
In addition, the company stated that a portion of the inventory used for repairs and held on the balance sheet at the reporting date will be sold to a third-party service and repair provider.
In March 2022 Apple stopped deliveries and sales of its equipment in Russia. In September last year, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov declaredthat the new iPhone 14 will be delivered to Russia through parallel imports. At the same time, the volume of parallel imports of Apple smartphones to Russia in 2022 turned out to be three times lower than official imports in 2021.
March 13 Izvestia, citing sources reportedthat Apple will not renew contracts with Russian Authorized Service Centers (ASCs), which expire at the end of March. To fulfill warranty obligations in relation to customers from Russia, the corporation will create a representative office abroad.
