Annual inflation in Russia slowed to 12.7% over the week

In annual terms, inflation for the week of October 24-31 slowed to 12.7% compared to 12.88% weeks previously. At the same time, weekly inflation slowed down to 0.07% compared to 0.08% a week earlier. This is evidenced by the data Ministry of Economy and Rosstat.
Unemployment in Russia rose to 3.9% in September from 3.8% in August. Among products tea (0.78%) and eggs (0.64%) rose the most during the week. Among medicines increased prices for levomekol (0.8%), analgin and multivitamins (0.4%).
From non-food dry pet food (1.4%), matches (0.4%), toothbrushes (0.3%), toilet paper (0.2%) rose in price for essential goods.
Among food prices for sneakers for adults increased by 0.4%, for cigarettes with a filter and socks for men (0.3%), as well as T-shirts, T-shirts for men and T-shirts for children (0.2%).
The current inflation forecast of the Central Bank for 2022 is 11-13%. For 2023, the forecast is 5-7%, for 2024 – 4%.
