Evraz CEO Alexei Ivanov left his position, the company said. The Board of Directors has already accepted his resignation.
“Aleksey Ivanov informed the board of directors of his intention to step down as CEO of Evraz effective June 30, 2023, and the board of directors accepted his resignation,” Evraz said (quoted by Reuters). According to the company, it will now be managed by a board of directors.
At the same time, it is separately emphasized that Mr. Ivanov remains in a leading role in the Russian perimeter of Evraz and as chairman of the board of directors of Evraz North America Plc.
Alexey Ivanov has been with Evraz since 2002. October 14, 2022 he left board of directors of the company where he served as an independent non-executive director.
Evraz plc is an international vertically integrated steel and mining company with assets in the Russian Federation, the USA, Canada, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Kazakhstan. In May 2022, the UK imposed sanctions on the company.
