An ambulance was called to the funeral of director Gleb Panfilov

Director Gleb Panfilov, who died at the age of 89, is said goodbye at the Novodevichy Cemetery – the funeral service was held in the Church of the Beheading of John the Baptist. Not many people came to see the director on his last journey – about 50. Among them was Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s widow Natalia.
Gleb Panfilov will be buried next to his beloved wife Inna Churikova, who died in January. Together they lived for more than half a century.
One of the elderly participants in the mourning ceremony became ill – an ambulance was called to the Novodevichy cemetery.
