American manufacturer Samsonite sold Russian business

Samsonite LLC, which until recently was the Russian division of the American suitcase manufacturer Samsonite International, has changed owners. 30% in it is now owned by the company’s CEO Andrey Yazykov, and 70% – by the company of the president of Samsonite LLC Vyacheslav Shikulov – Robinson Logistics.
According to SPARK-Interfax, the deal was closed on July 8, at the same time Samsonite LLC was renamed Chemodan Pro. Shikulov, in a conversation with Vedomosti, refused to comment on the deal. The US office of Samsonite did not respond to a request. But in its report for the first half of 2022, it says that it ceased to own the Russian division on July 1.
