Amazon invests $12.7 billion in cloud services in India

Amazon plans to invest $12.7 billion in the cloud business in India by 2030, says in a press release. The company plans to expand the structure of Amazon Web Services.
The company maintains two data processing centers (DPC) in South Asia – in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Amazon will employ 131,700 full-time employees in the engineering, telecommunications and construction industries.
From 2016 to 2022 Amazon has already invested about $3.7 billion in India. Such investments will help meet the demand for cloud services in the country.
Amazon is not the only company investing in cloud technology in India. The country has its own data centers Microsoft and Google. This is because the Indian government puts strict oversight on tech companies and forces them to store data locally.
Amazon Web Services provides cloud infrastructure services such as cloud storage, virtual servers, databases on dedicated servers, and so on.
