The flight from Yekaterinburg to Antalya, which was supposed to take off on August 13, was delayed for a day. The Red Wings claimed that two of the three Boeing 777s had caused the delays.

Russian Ambassador to Ankara Alexei Yerkhov in a conversation with TASS estimated the total number of citizens who did not take off on time from Antalya at more than 1.2 thousand. “We must pay tribute to the representatives of the carrier: the bulk of Russian citizens were accommodated in hotels and provided with food,” the diplomat said.
