Aliexpress has complied with the Russian law on “landing”

The Aliexpress marketplace complied with all the requirements of the law on the “landing” of Internet companies, informed today Roskomnadzor in its Telegram channel.
Aliexpress Russia Holding Pte. Ltd. informed Roskomnadzor of the fulfillment of the requirements of the law on landing. Based on the results of the verification of the submitted documents, Roskomnadzor included the company in the list of foreign entities operating on the Internet in the territory of the Russian Federation.
The Landing Law (Federal Law No. 236-FZ), which came into force on January 1, obliges foreign Internet companies with a daily audience of more than 500,000 users to open their authorized representative offices in Russia, create an electronic feedback form with Russian users, start personal account on the Roskomnadzor website and install the recommended attendance counter on your information resources. They should also restrict access to information found to be in violation of Russian law. All requirements of the law, according to the RKN, Aliexpress complied.
For failure to comply with the requirements, violators face, among other things, partial or complete blocking, a ban on distributing advertisements about themselves and placing their own advertisements on such resources by Russian advertisers, a ban on accepting payments from Russian individuals and legal entities, as well as labeling content published on the network.
In July, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on turnover fines for foreign IT companies for non-compliance with this law: violators now face a fine of up to one tenth of the total annual revenue in the country. In the event of a repeated violation, the fine may increase to one-fifth of the total annual revenue.
