Alfa Bank’s net profit for 2023 amounted to 118 billion rubles, the bank’s press service told Kommersant. The credit institution’s assets grew by 45% over 12 months.
Net interest income in 2023 increased by 67% compared to the previous year, the press service specified. The volume of corporate loans increased by 51%, retail loans by 40%. Due to the growth in the volume of funds from both individuals and legal entities, Alfa Bank’s deposit portfolio increased by 46% over 12 months.
The number of retail clients of the bank increased by 4.6 million over the year and exceeded 30 million. The number of small and medium-sized business clients increased by almost a quarter and reached 1.6 million.
“Such growth and development became possible primarily thanks to the well-coordinated work of the entire team. In 2023, Alfa Bank became the leader of all major ratings among the best employers in Russia. We continue to actively invest in technology, in service and in people,” the press service quotes the words of the head of Alfa Bank, Vladimir Verkhoshinsky.
In 2023 Alfa Bank reported about readiness to enter the Vietnamese market. In addition, according to RBC, the bank was considering expanding its business in China.
