The Federal Antimonopoly Service approved the petition of the Moscow Bakery and Confectionery Holding (BKH) Kolomensky to acquire the bread producer Darnitsa Group. A representative of the developer Sminex, whose founder Alexei Tulupov owns the Kolomensky BKH, declined to comment. A request to Darnitsa remained unanswered.

BKH “Kolomensky” calls itself the leader of the Russian market of bakery products. It produces products under the brands “Kolomenskoye”, “Shokoladnitsa” and so on. In 2022, the plant’s revenue amounted to 19.44 billion rubles. (+36% year-on-year), and net profit – 1.36 billion rubles. (+76%), according to Contourfocus. The company has recently been actively buying bakery assets. So, in April 2022, she became the owner of the Russian business of the Finnish Fazer. A few months later, BKH “Kolomensky” bought the largest bread manufacturer in the Tver region in terms of turnover, “Volzhsky Pekar”.
