The chairman of the board of the company for the production of alcoholic beverages Beluga Group (“Beluga”), its founder and main beneficiary, Alexander Mechetin, left his post ahead of schedule. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the company’s materials.
The basis for the early termination of powers was the personal statement of Alexander Mechetin. Since December 8, Konstantin Prokhorov has been appointed Chairman of the Board. His term of office is five years. Previously, Mr. Prokhorov held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Beluga Group’s learning in 2022 increased by 32.2% compared to the previous year and amounted to RUB 66.3 billion. In the nine months of this year, the company increased sales by 8.6% to 11.4 million deciliters.
Beluga Group is the largest alcohol producer in Russia. She owns the brands of vodka Beluga, Belenkaya, Arkhangelskaya, White Owl, Zolotoy Reserve and Bastion cognacs, Fox & Dogs whiskey, Devil`s Island rum, Tte de Cheval sparkling wine and others. The company also operates Vinlab liquor stores.
