The AST publishing house issued a statement about the suspension of the distribution of books by writers recognized as foreign agents.
After recent interviews with Boris Akunin and Dmitry Bykov, where they condemn Putin’s policies and talk about supporting Ukraine, the AST publishing house decided to suspend the publication of books by authors; already published works will not be sent for sale.
“Public statements by writers that have caused widespread public outcry require legal assessment. Until the situation is clarified, the publication and shipment of books will not be resumed,” said Pavel Grishkov, general director of the publishing house.
Let us recall that the other day there was an interview with pranksters Vovan and Lexus, where Akunin talks about his financial support for Ukraine and condemns the policies of the Russian President, and earlier an interview with journalist Mikhail Kozyrev with Dmitry Bykov, where he calls Putin “the devil.”
