Airline fleets to be 80% domestic aircraft by 2030

According to the forecasts of the Strategy for the Development of the Manufacturing Industry of the Russian Federation until 2030 and for the period up to 2035, to which the ministry refers, the fleets of Russian airlines will consist of more than half of domestic aircraft by 2025. By this time, their share will be slightly more than 53% .
The authorities expect that by 2028 this figure could rise to 66.8%. By the forecast year 2030, it is planned that most of the fleets of Russian airlines will include mainline aircraft SSJ 100, MS-21, Tu-214, Il-9 and regional An-24, An-26, Il-114-300, as well as ” Ladoga and Baikal.
Passenger flow on domestic flights by 2030 will reach 104.5 million people, the ministry said. By this time, a flow of 11.6 million people is expected on international flights.
In an interview with Vedomosti, the CEO of the group “Aeroflot» Sergey Alexandrovsky pointed outthat without domestic aircraft, Russian civil aviation has no future. He clarified that the whole industry is faced with the task of achieving high performance indicators for the new fleet that the Russian industry will produce.
In July, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov toldthat the National Wealth Fund (NWF) will allocate more than 280 billion rubles for the project for the production of the Russian MS-21 aircraft, and another 41.8 billion for the Tu-214.
In mid-August, the head of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Yuri Slyusar informedthat the first flight of the imported SSJ 100 aircraft will take place in September, but at this stage it will not be fully equipped with Russian components. With the domestic PD-8 engine, the aircraft will fly in the second stage.
