Today, February 16, the European aviation concern Airbus reported that at the end of 2022 its revenue amounted to €58.7 billion, which is 13% more than a year earlier, and net profit was €4.2 billion, which is 1% more than in 2021. The company delivered 661 aircraft to customers, which is 8% more than a year earlier. Airbus has scheduled delivery of 720 aircraft for 2023.
“In 2022, the industry continued to recover (after the pandemic.— ”b”). Air traffic grew and airlines returned to long-term planning. We delivered solid financial results despite some unfavorable circumstances that prevented us from rebuilding our supply chain faster than we had planned. Our company had to adjust operations as a result of less than planned deliveries of commercial aircraft. We continue to take measures to adapt our production to the current situation. As we enter 2023, we are focused on continuing the long-term transformation of the company,” said Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury.
After the publication of financial statements, Airbus shares rose in price by 3%.
