Aeroflot has settled a dispute with an Irish lessor over four aircraft

Aeroflot Airlines (MOEX: AFLT) has completed a settlement with Irish lessor CDB Aviation over four aircraft. The vessels were transferred to the NSK Insurance Company, which paid the settlement amount for the aircraft. The press service of Aeroflot reported this.

“In accordance with the agreements reached, the lessor ceased its claims against the Russian parties both under insurance policies issued by Russian insurance companies and under leasing agreements with PJSC Aeroflot,” the statement says.

2 October became knownthat Aeroflot has completed a settlement with another Irish lessor, SMBC Aviation Capital. Aeroflot received the right to 16 aircraft, as well as one more aircraft managed by SMBC Aviation Capital.

In September Aeroflot settled relationship with Irish lessor AerCap regarding the operation of 18 aircraft and five aircraft engines.

How found out Kommersant, Aeroflot, Ural Airlines and iFly agreed with the Ministry of Transport to receive funds from the National Welfare Fund to re-register 40 aircraft as Russian property. According to analysts, insurance settlements for such a number of airliners will require 80–96 billion rubles.
