“Yulia Konstantinovna Borisova died today in the hospital, where she spent about a year in a separate ward under the supervision of doctors. Yulia Borisova was born on March 17, 1925. She graduated from the Higher Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin. Since 1947, Mrs. Borisova served at the Vakhtangov Theater. During her career, she performed over 60 theatrical roles. Among them – the role of Princess Turandot in the play of the same name based on the play by Carlo Gozzi, Nastasya Filippovna in the staging of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel “The Idiot”, Cleopatra in “Antony and Cleopatra” (William Shakespeare) and others. Mrs. Borisova also played the role of Nastasya Filippovna in the film adaptation of The Idiot directed by Ivan Pyryev.
