Russian actor Ernst Romanov died at the age of 87. reported press service of the Andrei Mironov Theater. The cause of the artist’s death is not given.
Ernst Romanov graduated from GITIS. He has more than 200 film roles to his credit. In particular, he starred in the films “The Red Tent” (1969), “The Collapse of Engineer Garin” (1973), “Star of Captivating Happiness” (1975), “Dog in the Manger” (1977), as well as in the TV series “Klim’s Life” Samghin” (1986–1988) and “Streets of Broken Lanterns” (1998–2019).
In 1969–1971, Ernst Romanov worked at the Lensovet Theater. After that, he was an artist at the A. S. Pushkin Theater and the G. A. Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater. Since 1974, he has acted in films produced by the Lenfilm studio. For his role in the film “The Taste of Bread” in 1980 he received the USSR State Prize.
