People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Chernov commented on the behavior of Latvian actor Ivar Kalnins, who called on Russia to “pay him a pension.” This is reported by aif.ru.
“What did he do for Russian cinema?” said Chernov.
The artist noted that Russia does not owe Kalnins any pension, since he is a citizen of another country. He emphasized that if his Latvian colleague had Russian citizenship, he would receive a pension many times greater than in his homeland.
In addition, Chernov doubted Kalnins’ merits to Russian cinema.
