About 190,000 foreign tourists visited Russia this year

In 2022, about 180,000-190,000 foreign tourists visited Russia, excluding the CIS countries, Maya Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), said at a meeting between the head of the Ministry of Economics, Maxim Reshetnikov, and representatives of the tourism industry.
“According to our calculations, 180-190 thousand classic foreign tourists, we do not take the CIS countries, visited Russia in 2022,” – leads her words TASS.
According to the expert, the introduction of an electronic visa can increase the number of tourists arriving in Russia. Among Russians traveling around the country, the Black Sea coast remains the most popular destination – it accounts for over 35% of all vouchers.
