107.9 billion rubles will be spent on aircraft manufacturing and comprehensive support for the aviation industry in 2024–2026, said Anna Panina, director of the aviation industry department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. During the hearings in the Federation Council, she said that the ministry had prepared proposals for the draft budget to finance the state program “Development of the Aviation Industry.”
The program was approved back in 2014, its implementation period was extended until 2030. “The goal is to achieve by 2030 the share of aircraft and helicopters produced in Russia in the fleet of the largest air carriers at least 50 and 90 percent, respectively,” Ms. Panina clarified (quoted by RIA Novosti).
As Anna Panina added, by 2026 it is planned to increase the production of Russian aircraft, including the MS-21, Sukhoi Superjet, Tu-214, and the LMS-901 Baikal small aircraft. The main emphasis is on import substitution of main components and assemblies, she said.
As Kommersant reported, deliveries of regional Il-114s, which were supposed to replace the outdated An-24s from 2023, are postponed to the end of 2025 due to the suspension of flight tests and certification work with the engine after the disaster in Kubinka in 2021. Kommersant’s sources in the industry expected a shift in deadlines for other civil aircraft projects, in particular the SJ-100.
