October 29 will be forty days since the tragic death of Sergei Puskepalis. Actor, director, artistic director, fighter, man. He did not like to talk, he liked to do, build, help, discover. Perhaps that is why the memory of him does not stop for a day and is extremely effective. Friends continue the unfinished business, and cultural objects are already named after him.

So, in Mariupol, where Sergey has been repeatedly, the initiative to name the local drama theater after Sergey Puskepalis is being seriously discussed. As in Magnitogorsk, where he headed the drama theater for several years, they want to name one of the city streets in his honor.

But in Zheleznovodsk, where the family home of the Puskepalis is located, and where he himself is now buried next to the graves of his parents, at the end of September, at a regular meeting of the Duma of the resort city, local deputies voted unanimously for naming the City Palace of Culture after him. And now the GDK Zheleznovodsk sounds like the City Palace of Culture named after Sergei Puskepalis. It must be said that the object was not chosen by chance – three years ago, it was through the efforts of Sergey that the global reconstruction of the City Palace of Culture began. The renovated building has already hosted the Hero and Time film festival.

“Sergei Puskepalis was a man with a capital letter, he was known and loved throughout the country,” his friends write. – Not only for acting talent, but also for citizenship, love for Russia … Sergei left without finishing an important matter. At his own expense, he bought and equipped a car, collected cargo to transfer to one of the units defending the Donbass. But he didn’t. In memory of our friend, we decided to complete the work he started. The head of Magnitogorsk Sergey Berdnikov, businessman Oleg Laknitsky responded. We bought and prepared exactly the same car that Sergei was going to deliver to the soldiers at the front.

Very soon, this armored car with a vital cargo will go to the Donbass, And 10 more of these armored cars will go to the Donbass from Yaroslavl. In the capital of the Golden Ring itself, at the end of November, the Actor’s House will be opened, the construction of which was also largely facilitated by the active work of the artistic director of the Volkovsky Theater.

At a meeting with the press, the governor of the region, Mikhail Evraev, said: “… there is an idea that we are discussing with colleagues. It consists in giving the House of Actors the name of Sergei Vytauto Puskepalis.”
