The international company joint-stock company (ICAO) “Yandex” has become the owner of the main legal entity of “Yandex” in Russia instead of the Dutch Yandex NV. Interfax reports this with reference to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The changes took place on January 22. MCAO Yandex received 99.999% of Yandex LLC, as well as 100% of Tekhnoyak LLC and 49% of Yandex DC LLC.
MCAO “Yandex” was registered in December 2023 in the special administrative region (SAR) on Oktyabrsky Island in the Kaliningrad region. Its founder is Yandex NV (parent company of Yandex).
In November 2022, it became known about Yandex’s plans to divide its assets. In October 2023, Yandex NV received permission from the government commission for internal restructuring of the group. Reuters reportedthat Yandex NV plans to sell its entire Russian business. By data Forbes, a group of Russian investors wanted to buy out 100% of the Yandex sub-holding.
