By forecasts researchers, a record number of store visitors is expected in the United States on Western Christmas Eve. The fact is that this year the last days before Christmas fell on Saturday and Sunday, so more Americans will be able to visit stores to buy some last-minute goods.

Experts from the research company Sensormatic Solutions have already stated, with December 23 expected to be the busiest day in US stores since Black Friday, which fell on November 24 this year. In turn, specialists from the US National Retail Federation (NRF) believe, that the number of buyers in the United States on December 23 will be 142 million, while on Saturday, December 23, 2017, when the last pre-Christmas days also fell on the weekend, there were 126 million buyers. The last Saturday before Christmas has already been dubbed “Super Saturday” by some marketers in the United States.

“This year, Super Saturday came in very handy for those who need to buy something at the last minute,” CNN quotes Phil Rist, vice president of the research company Prosper Insights & Analytics. Experts note that many purchases will be made in physical stores, as people are not sure that they will have time to receive goods from online stores before Christmas. According to an NRF survey, 53 million people planning to shop on Super Saturday went to brick-and-mortar stores, up from just 44 million the year before.
