The budget received 318.8 billion rubles from the excess profit tax – Kommersant

Ministry of Finance reportedthat a one-time tax on excess profits of large companies (windfall tax) brought 318.8 billion rubles to the budget. RUB 315.5 billion was paid in 2023 at a rate of 5%. In 2024, the company paid 3.3 billion rubles. (at a rate of 10%). Initially, the Ministry of Finance planned to collect more than 300 billion rubles.

Companies were required to pay no later than January 28, 2024. The tax had to be paid by large companies whose average profit before taxes for 2021-2022 exceeded 1 billion rubles.
