The Ministry of Defense has announced who will not be called up for service as part of partial mobilization. Employees of the IT sector, telecom operators, the media and banks will be exempted from it.

“In order to ensure the operation of certain high-tech industries, as well as the financial system of the Russian Federation, a decision was made not to recruit for military service as part of the partial mobilization of citizens with higher education in the relevant specialties and areas of training, working: in accredited organizations operating in the field of information technology and involved in the development, development, implementation, maintenance and operation of solutions in the field of information technology and ensuring the functioning of the information infrastructure,” the message says (cit. according to RIA Novosti).
