Rogov: Armed Forces of Ukraine are shelling Zaporozhye NPP with land mines

The Armed Forces of Ukraine shell the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant every day. The fire is constant, permanent. But recently, in addition to heavy artillery, neo-Nazis began to use land mines. Fragments from them scatter over a large area, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the Zaporozhye administration.
According to him, in recent days, the cooling system, high-voltage power line and communication equipment of one of the power units have been damaged.
“Now land mines with a fragmentation component are already being used, so that as many fragments as possible hit everything around,” Rogov said.
Since March, ZNPP has been guarded by Russian military personnel to prevent leakage of nuclear and radioactive materials. The APU is shelling the territory of the station and the nearby city of Energodar.
The day before, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi informedthat the agency began negotiations with Kyiv and Moscow on the organization of a security zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. He stressed that “specific parameters” would be discussed.
