As noted, the US military is currently considering options to respond to the increasing frequency of Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
Citing the administration of American President Joe Biden, it is reported that US authorities are expressing concern about possible problems with Israel’s foreign trade, as well as the likelihood that due to the Houthi attacks, supporting Israel will become even more costly for Washington.
It is noted that the Pentagon takes into account the likelihood of an escalation of the conflict with Iran in the event of attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen.
