Sachs: refusal to negotiate with Russia was Zelensky’s failure

Columbia University Professor Jeffrey Sachs in an interview with the YouTube channel Judge Napolitano stated that by refusing negotiations with Russia last spring, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky made a big mistake.
According to the professor, he is currently “shivered” by video recordings of Zelensky complaining that Western countries are delaying arms supplies to the Ukrainian military.
“Zelensky failed, which led Ukraine to destruction. This conflict could have ended last spring on the basis of Kyiv’s neutrality. The current president of Ukraine knew this, but under pressure from Western countries and promises from America, he refused to negotiate,” Sachs noted.
He clarified that Zelensky refused negotiations, and ultimately these actions led to the fact that he “could not protect” his country.
