Belarus announced an increase in export duties on oil

From September 1, the authorities of Belarus have increased the rates of export duties on oil and oil products exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Relevant government decree published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
According to the document, which was signed by the Prime Minister of the Republic Roman Golovchenko, the export duty rates for crude oil, fuel oil, petroleum bitumen, vaseline and paraffin, as well as waste oil products amount to $21.4 per ton (previously $16.9), for straight-run gasoline – $11.7 per ton (previously – $9.2), for commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, light, middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylenes, lubricating oils – $6.4 per ton (previously – $5). The changes came into effect on September 1.
In July, Minsk reduced export duties on oil and oil products, then the rates were set at $15.6 per ton. A month later, export duty rates for raw materials were raised to $16.9 per ton.
