They do not have to write applications for extradition
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation is going to simplify the procedure for issuing certificates of a participant in hostilities to veterans of the Northern Military District. The corresponding draft order of the main military department has been submitted for public discussion.
The current procedure, approved in 2003, requires that certificates be issued to all participants in hostilities upon application. The Ministry of Defense decided to make an exception for participants in a special military operation: after signing the order, certificates can be issued without a request. The basis for extradition will be the presence in the authorized bodies of executive power of documents confirming the participation of a citizen in the SVO.
The issuance of certificates to servicemen who were injured during the self-defense in the territories of Ukraine, the DPR and the LPR since February 24 last year, as well as in the territories of the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions from September 30 and who are in hospitals and medical units, certificates will be able to issue personnel bodies at the location of the military medical organizations.
