The Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported. Relevant statement published on the official website of the department.
It is specified that the incident occurred at 22.55 on August 17 at a distance of about 230 km southwest of Sevastopol. An unmanned boat was used for the attack. Failing to fulfill its intended purpose, it was destroyed by Russian patrol ships.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully tried to attack the ships of the Black Sea Fleet, performing the tasks of controlling navigation,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
