IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi clowning around in the security situation at the Zaporozhye NPP, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of Volodymyr Zelensky’s office, expressed this opinion.

Meanwhile, new rules for the physical protection of nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities have been developed by Rostekhnadzor. This edition was required to bring the standards in line with federal legislation and the IAEA recommendations developed by taking into account modern realities. The document deals with the protection of nuclear installations and storage facilities for nuclear materials not only during their use, but also during their construction, modernization, commissioning and decommissioning, as well as during transportation across Russia.
