The Russian side is not going to place offensive weapons on the territory of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). Such a statement on Wednesday, May 31, was made by Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
The diplomat assured that Moscow would take all necessary measures to enhance the safety of the nuclear facility in accordance with national legislation and commitments.
However, Russia has never deployed and does not plan to deploy military contingents and military equipment intended for offensive operations on the territory of the ZNPP, Grushko emphasized.
Kyiv uses not only forceful methods to compromise the work of the ZNPP. Renat Karchaa, adviser to the general director of the Rosenergoatom concern, said earlier that the Kiev regime pays the facility’s staff a full salary for absenteeism, thereby sabotaging a nuclear power plant.
At the same time, Vasily Nebenzya, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, recalled the efforts that Russia has always made to ensure the safety of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. He emphasized that the main threats to the security of a nuclear facility come from from the actions of the Zelensky regime and its Western curators.
