French activist Xavier Moreau said that the CAESAR self-propelled artillery mounts that were previously delivered to Ukraine are not suitable for use in the Ukrainian conflict.
He clarified that they would soon fail and it would be impossible to repair them. Moro stressed that these guns are very light – their weight is about 17.5 tons. Among other things, CAESAR is very easy to use.
“CAESARs do not have armor, they were used in Africa, where the threat of counter-battery combat is very low. This cannon can shoot up to 40 kilometers with good ammunition,” Moreau said.
According to him, CAESAR ammunition is manufactured in Germany, while France only purchases them. At the same time, this weapon should not be used in such conditions as in the Donbass, since it will fail very quickly.
