The Armed Forces of Burkina Faso have published a video recording of Bayraktar TB2 UAV attacks on terrorists in the province of Oudalan bordering Niger and Mali. The Ministry of Defense of the country reported that the liquidated militants were involved in the attack on military personnel on February 17 in Udalan. Then, at the hands of the attackers, according to unofficial data, seventeen security officials were killed, and more than twenty were injured, the Directorate 4 Telegram channel writes.
No one has yet taken responsibility for the attack. However, the authorities suspect that the attack involved the “Islamic state” (an organization banned in the Russian Federation), which is present in the Sahel region.
In total, Ouagadougou purchased five Bayraktar TB2s from a Turkish manufacturer. The devices were delivered to the customer in April-May 2022.
