Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov recalled yesterday’s statement by the head of state, commenting on the US decision to provide Ukraine with a new package of military assistance, which includes the supply of long-range GLSDB projectiles. About this Peskov declared in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“It is important not to forget yesterday’s statement by Putin in Volgograd,” he said.

Last week, Germany and the United States announced the supply of tanks to Kyiv: Germany will send 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, the United States – 31 Abrams. In addition, Berlin will also allow the allies to send their Leopard 2 to Ukraine. Today the Pentagon announced about the allocation of a new package of military assistance to Kyiv in the amount of $ 2.2 billion, which, among other things, includes GLSDB missiles capable of flying about 150 km.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In particular, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, warned that pumping Ukraine with weapons brings NATO closer to the dangerous line of a direct military clash with Russia.
